Science says that only around two-thirds of people are suggestible to hypnosis.

Personally, I’ve tried to be hypnotized on several occasions only to have absolutely nothing happen, so I assume I’m either too stupid or stubborn to fall into that group. But the science says that, given enough time, a significant majority of the world’s population can be lulled into a hypnotic state and made to do whatever a person wants — within limits, of course.

Still, what the hell is happening here?

In this video, a man named Xavier Clausse (he’s French) can be seen with a line of people in front of him. He approaches them and, one by one, knocks them to the ground with a single touch.

Call me a fun killer, but I don’t buy it. While a few people may have been “hypnotized,” I can’t help but think that most people simply didn’t want to ruin the show — and so, they just played along by pretending to pass out.

In fact, other people who had been “hypnotized” actually admitted to doing something similar in response to the video.

Sorry, hypnotists — come back to me when you figure out a way to make the dude at the liquor store give me free BuzzBallz.
