You might think that the modern world is a little too sensitive, and you're probably right. But rewind just a little bit, and you'll be shocked at some of the stunts mainstream movies got away with.
Many old movies would never get made the same way today, and that's a good thing. Especially movies from the 1980s.
Here are the worst offenders from the decade known for offensive movies.

1. Revenge of the Nerds, 1984
In a classic athletes vs nerds movie, a nerd disguises himself as an athlete to get with an athlete’s girlfriend. -
2. Porky’s, 1981
This early ‘80s comedy is all about a group of young boys exposing themselves, and peeping at young women. It even got two sequels. -
3. Mr. Mom, 1983
This comedy involves an unemployed man forced to take over the housework while his wife earns the money. How silly! He ultimately fails, and forces the wife back into the house in what’s supposed to be a happy ending. -
4. Overboard, 1987
In this strange rom-com, a boss suffering from memory loss gets convinced by a formerly mistreated servant that she’s his wife. What in the manipulation and Stockholm syndrome kind of premise is that? -
5. The Toy, 1982
In this Richard Pryor movie, the main character is hired to be ordered around by a boy. Any social commentary is lost on this blatantly racist movie. -
6. The Breakfast Club, 1985
This movie is rightfully beloved, but it does include a scene in which Judd Nelson’s character Bender looks up Molly Ringwald’s skirt. And we’re supposed to find that funny. -
7. Rain Man, 1988
This Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman classic might have won four Oscars, but its portrayal of an autistic man would be considered quite offensive today. -
8. Sixteen Candles, 1984
Sixteen Candles stars a supposedly 16-year-old girl, but doesn’t treat her as such. That’s an issue. -
9. Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, 1984
The Indians Jones we’d all rather forget about, this movie’s main plot centers around some pretty blatantly racist villains. -
10. Big, 1988
In big, a 13-year-old boy gets placed in a 30-year-old’s body. (Tom Hanks.) That “boy” proceeds to do some pretty “adult” things.
