15 LinkedIn Bros and Others Trying to Use the Baltimore Bridge Collapse for Clout

While people across the country waited with bated breath to learn the scale of the tragedy, others saw an opportunity to plug their own agenda.

Early Tuesday morning, a nearly 1,000 foot cargo ship slammed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, triggering a devastating collapse. The disaster has most likely claimed the lives of at least five construction workers who were deployed on the bridge at the time, and were it not for quick communication from the boat's crew to authorities, even more lives could have been lost.

This incident understandably dominated yesterday's new cycle, but while people across the country waited with bated breath to learn the scale of the tragedy, others saw an opportunity to plug their own agenda. LinkedIn might be the absolute worst platform when it comes to users turning the story of the day into an inspirational message or pitch for their own services. Yes, this disaster will have adverse effects on shipping and supply chains in the northeast. No, you shouldn't plug your own storage facilities when emergency workers haven't even figured out who's made it out alive.

Not to mention the political leeches claiming that this accident happened because of DEI. The pilot of the boat was an American ship captain employed specifically by Baltimore to pilot large ships in and out of the port. The boat itself was from Singapore, and the entire crew was Indian. Get out of here with that.

Here are 15 pathetic clout chasers who tried to use this disaster to spread their own agenda.
