Micky D's has spread itself all around the world, integrating itself into new cultures and showing no signs of slowing down in the 21st century.
So in that spirit, here are 15 places you wouldn't think would have a Mc Danks. But they do.

1. The Paddleboat
Located on the Mississippi, this old fashioned paddleboat was turned into a Micky D’s. How American is that? However, it closed down in 2000. -
2. Dongmen Street
Located in Shenzhen, China, this McDonald’s sticks out like a sore thumb. -
3. UFO McDonald’s
In Roswell New Mexico, the site of an infamous alleged UFO crash. -
4. Hangzhou, China
This McDonald’s now resides in the house of former Taiwanese politician Chiang Ching-kuo, from the 1940s. -
5. Checkpoint Charlie
It’s only fitting that this American checkpoint between West and East Berlin is now overlooked by a McDonald’s ready to comfort any American tourist who comes to check it out. I personally have eaten there, and let me tell you, European McDonald’s are always fantastic. -

Perhaps the best McDonald’s nickname, this Swedish McDonald’s features the world’s only “ski-through.” -
7. Paris
A McDonald’s in Paris might not be surprising, but shoving one into this skinny and gorgeous building certainly is. -

This Taupo, New Zealand McDonald’s has an old plane out front, and you can eat inside of it. -

Yep, even the infamous Cuban camp isn’t immune to American opportunism. -
10. The Louvre Museum
Paris’s iconic museum sure is pretty. Wait, what’s inside that clear prism? Oh, a grungy fast food joint. At least they made it look nice. -

Located in Kristiansand, Norway, McDonald’s swooped in when this bank decided it no longer needed its building. -

This small village in China might be scenic and remote, but it has space for a picturesque Mc Danks. -

McDonald’s loves to nestle itself into local culture, and they have successfully done so with this former captain’s mansion in Maine.
