Being a kid can be hard sometimes, you aren't taken seriously and you have no autonomy to do anything for yourself. We went over to r/AskReddit and found some things that sucked when we were kids, but are great as an adult. Nothing sounds better than a nap on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Yard work after getting a new home. Sucked doing yard work as a kid, yet when you have your own place it’s so therapeutic and rewarding and productive. u/ShakaBradda

Homemade chicken soup. I used to loathe having it for dinner as a child but these days I cannot get enough. I even started making my own broth from chicken carcasses and use all the good herbs. Amazing. u/Purposeofolddreams

I remember as a kid always begging to go home after about 10 minutes of going over to my parents friends house because all they did was sit around and talk and drink and I thought they were the most boring people on earth. Now I go over to my friends place just to sit around and talk and drink and it is a highlight of my week. u/UsernameTaken-Taken
