That yelling men even when you think that you are not being threatening is terrifying. I’ve been married for 17 years, he’s never even thought about being violent with me. However, any time his voice is raised or tone gets angry it’s scary. The vast majority of women I know have this same reaction regardless of who it is. - mgentry99915
The mental load of meeting all of society’s expectations for our family. I’m always the one who gets the call, gets judged, gets pressure to volunteer, has to remember birthdays, etc. He can ignore those things without consequence, and I can’t. It means that I end up taking on kind of a family manager role to make sure no balls get dropped, but that’s not because I enjoy that. It’s because I’m the one who will be blamed. - meara17
The exhaustion of being the go to parent all the time. I know there are some dads that get it but there are alot that don’t. Staying home with the kids here and there or driving them to soccer practice is one things but keeping track of homework, extracurricular, chores, appointments, and being their emotional support is just exhausting and stressful. - Oss251817
