There is nothing more annoying than going to turn up the AC in a new car, only to find the whole system is controlled by a convoluted touchscreen.
It turns out that drivers much prefer buttons over touchscreens for vital car processes, something designers should have already known. In 1986, Buick became the first company to release interior touchscreens, and you guessed it, everybody hated them.
