25 Posts And Reactions To RFK Jr. At Steak n’ Shake
"A health secretary promoting fast food... Absolutely bonkers."
That's what Twitter user @AlastairMcA30 thought of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s recent Steak n' Shake interview, in which the Secretary of Health and Human Services praised the burger chain for its new french fries.
Kennedy shared a meal with Fox’s Sean Hannity, highlighting Steak n’ Shake’s decision to swap out the vegetable oil in its friars in favor of beef tallow.
“Seed oil is one of the components of processed foods,” Kennedy said. "Steak ‘n Shake just switched out, and people are raving about these french fries.”
But many viewers couldn't help but point out that when eating at Steak n' Shake, vegetable oil is the least of your problems.
"Clearly it’s not that hamburgers, fries, and shakes are just objectively bad for you," @StatisticUrban tweeted.
The interview is part of Steak n' Shake's staunch public support of the current administration and its desire to comply with Kennedy's "Make America Healthy Again" agenda.
But something about the man in charge of America's health promoting a fast food chain just feels wrong.
"The HHS Secretary is apparently doing an ad for Steak ’n Shake while pretending to do a news interview," @RichardHanania tweeted. "What a disgusting grift. Top to bottom, this whole thing is rotten."
