Google Maps made it official and killed the Gulf of Mexico.

The new Gulf of America name is proving to be controversial, but only because it’s a stupid name. So the topographers of Twitter are sharing what they think it should be called, and there are some quality alternatives out there, as well as some even stupider ones.

The Gulf of eBaums has been submitted and is under serious consideration.
