If you own your own home, then consider yourself beyond lucky, beacuse millions of us have to deal with landlords who are constantly looking to skirt responsibility and cut corners whenever possible.

Landlords, rightfully, take a lot of heat online (and in the real world) for their lack of helpfulness and an overwhelming sense of entitlement. Have you ever lived in an apartment where the landlord clearly didn't clean the walls before painting them? That's what we call the "landlord special."

And this collection of people living in rental purgatory know the struggle well. So be thankful that you own your own home beacuse when things go wrong you only have yourself to blame.
