Check out a photo of the Concord jet's cramped cockpit, and much more.

From the late '70s to the early 2000s, you could catch a flight from New York to London, and fly supersonic.

The Concord is one of aviation's greatest successes and greatest failures. Because while it's pretty cool to haul passengers around at over the speed of sound, some drastic design measures were needed to combat a few serious engineering difficulties. One of which, is the plane's iconic droopy nose.

See a photo of the Concord's cramped cockpit in comparison to that of the Soviet Union's Tu-144, right here. (Along with plenty of other entertaining and interesting photos.)
