27 Tweets and Conspiracies Memorializing Peanut the Squirrel
The dream is over. Peanut the Squirrel has been euthanized. If you don’t know, Peanut the Squirrel was a squirrel adopted and raised by Mark Longo in New York City, who eventually became a beloved internet star. You can read our write-up about him from last year. He was famous for eating waffles, wearing costumes, and looking at the camera with a charming, nutty grin.
But recently, city inspectors came by to check on Peanut, and his adopted brother, the less-famous but still significant Fred the Raccoon. Peanut, perhaps a little high on his fame and bit a city inspector. The government retaliated with the ultimate price. Peanut and Fred were sadly both sentenced to death.
The internet has since grabbed their Twitter. pitchforks, though there might be more to the story than meets the eye, concerning.

22. Peanut's death at the hands of Big Brother has also launched some Kennedy-esque conspiracy theories. The most valid one is that his owners had started an OnlyFans account, and the inspectors may have been initially searching for scandalous content. Peanut
