Have you ever lived through something like the coronavirus pandemic? Unless you're over 100 years old and experienced the 1918 Spanish flu, then the answer is no. Even then, I bet you were at least able to find some toilet paper at the local store.

2020 was a fever dream, as the world fell apart around us while we weren't allowed to go out and see it. People everywhere needed help, but the best way for us to help them was by protecting and helping ourselves. Our streets were empty, and our emergency rooms were full. It produced behaviors we didn't know we had in us, both good and bad, and changed the landscape of everything from remote work to food delivery. 

It's hard to capture life back then through photos, but it sure produced a collection of bizarre images the likes of which we've never seen. From crazy masks to empty streets to political upheaval, it all feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. 

Covid hit us just about four years ago, and some of the crazy photos from that time are making their way back onto the internet. Here is a collection of 31 that seem like they're from an alternate universe.
