One good way to stave off a claustrophobic panic attack is to step outside and take a deep breath. That might not be such a great idea on these submarines.

Low ceilings, tons of intrusive pipes, and lots of loud, blinking electronics make these submarine interiors a nightmare for people who hate tight spaces, and being surrounded by nothing but water and real-life sea monsters is just the cherry on top. Even the submarines that don’t look that cramped are going to be filled with crew members bustling around and making sure nobody dies. And remember, some of the smaller ones actually look bigger than they are due to the fisheye effect on the pictures.

I think I’ll stick to sitting on the wide open beach, thanks.
