Construction sites usually have the same run-of-the-mill trucks and machines. We’re all familiar with cement mixers, excavators, and wrecking balls – and while those are cool, iron monstrosities that get the job done, there’s a whole world out there of weird, awesome, machines that have functions you wouldn’t really think of.

There are tree transplant machines that pick up ginormous logs with a massive claw, vehicles that expand roads by swallowing up highway barriers, and giant borrowing drills that look like modern, robotic versions of the worms from Dune. There are also some great vintage devices we're glad we found and shook the dust off of.
