In 2010, Phineas and Ferb supervillain Dr. Doofenshmirtz hit the small screen with a line that would change social media forever: "Wow! If I had a nickel for every time I was "doomed" by a puppet, I'd have two nickels-- which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right?" 


Despite its original context of plan-foiling puppets, the internet took this line and ran, applying it to everything from weird interpersonal interactions to our personal lore and even strange pop culture events. 


From a baby having two separate birthdays to a scammer selling the Eiffel Tower on two occasions, here are 20 weird things we'd have two nickels for because they happened twice.
