Tipping culture in the United States is controversial. Not just here, but around the world too. One American server's tweet vent viral this week, when she showed a receipt sporting a $288 bill, and no tip.

"These European [guys] said 'sorry, we don't tip,' laughed, and walked out," she wrote. 

While it's understandable that people unaccustomed to adding 20% to every bill would be angry at the practice, not tipping forces servers to work for virtually no income. The fault is not on the servers.
