The British have committed some serious food crimes throughout their thousand-year existence. Black pudding. Jellied eels. A "spotted" steamed pudding so gross, we can't even utter its name without angering our hosting overlords. 

But of all the bizarre foods to emerge from the UK, one drunk takeaway order manages to top them all: Black olive-coated french fries, or as Twitter cynics call them, nuts and bolts. 

But while we wait for the universe to rapture the chippies wreaking havoc on our collective tastes, there is one thing we can all savor: These hot, fresh, and (mostly) olive-free memes.
