Back in the day, people were trying to get us to the future a lot sooner.
The military and a bunch of engineering companies had a ton of crazy, futuristic ideas back in the day, and some of them were even brought into reality. There are flying pods from the 1950s, giant vintage walking machines, singing robots, super-strength exoskeletons, and a lot more that never got past the lab.
