Though they may have a reputation for upcharging clients, desperately needing a belt, and donning a thin coating of grease at any given moment, sometimes mechanics know exactly what they're talking about. Just ask these exasperated auto workers who found themselves faced with the dumbest drivers on the road.

From dangling chains to the dangers of skipping an oil change year after year after year, here, 24 mechanics share the dumbest reasons people have ever driven into the body shop.
