Hopefully you didn't ask for any of these under the Christmas tree this year, because Santa would have had to pry them out of the hands of rabid collectors.
To some people, toys are worth more than the joy they bring, and these pricey playthings cost a pretty penny. Predictably featuring plenty of Star Wars, here are the 10 most valuable vintage toys of all time.

1. Barbie by Stefano Canturi: $302,500
Designed by Moulin Rouge jewelry designer, Stefano Canturi, this unique doll also sports an argyle pink diamond necklace. Other barbies go for up to $27k without the jewels, but this bedazzled version sold for $302,500 in 2010. -
2. G.I. Joe: $200,000
This classic 1963 figure has sold for up to $200,000. Why? It’s one of only twelve hand-painted examples created by the toy’s original designer Stanley Weston. -
3. Rocket Firing Boba Fett: $185,850
It’s no secret that Star Wars toys have a tendency to dominate the market, but none turn heads more than this specific 1979 Boba Fett. The bounty hunter’s rocket abilities were removed for safety reasons before the toy even his stores, meaning that getting your hands on an original is pricey. -
4. Louis Vuitton Steiff Bear: $182,550
Original Steiff Bears are extremely expensive, with a few worth over $100,000. However, the most expensive of the bunch is this turn of the century bear, designed by Louis Vuitton, which sold in 2000 for $182,550. -
5. Tipp & Co. Mickey Mouse Motorcycle: $110,000
This windup motorcycle is the most expensive Mickey Mouse toy ever sold, and it is thought that only 18 like this one were ever made. The most well-kept example sold in 2000 for $110,000. -
6. Kenner Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi: $76,700
This 1978 Obi-Wan figure is the first of many star wars figures, and features a double-telescoping lightsaber. The double-telescoping feature was quickly discontinued to lower production costs, and as a result, figures with it are worth the most. Obi-Wan’s is the hardest to find. -
7. Hot Wheels Pink VW Beach Bomb: $72,000
There are allegedly only two versions of this 1969 Hot Wheels truck in existence, and one was bought in 2000 for $72,000. In 2018, it was valued at $150,000. -
8. Kenner Darth Vader: $64,900
Like the Obi-Wan toy, this classic Darth Vader toy is valuable because of its double-telescoping lightsaber. There is also a version with a purple lightsaber, by mistake. -
9. Kenner Star Wars Droids Vlix: $45,000
Even extreme Star Wars fans might not know Vlix, a character from the 13 episode 1985 animated show “Star Wars: Droids.” Kenner never got around to producing any Vlix toys, but sold their Vlix mold to the Brazilian company Glasslite, who were quickly served a cease and desist for making them. Those factors combine to make Vlix a rare, but questionably desirable figure. -
10. Kenner Luke Skywalker: $25,000
Despite featuring the coveted double-telescoping lightsaber, this 1978 Luke figure was produced first, meaning there are more versions of him in circulation than his master or his daddy.
