The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. A hallowed Cincinnati, Ohio locale that accepts only the genre's best artists among their ranks ... right? According to several folks on Reddit, the answer is a resounding no, a sentiment proven by Sheryl Crow, Peter Frampton and even Bon Jovi.

1. Ringo Starr

2. The Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Image in Public Domain“I can't find anything remarkable about them other than they have associated with the Chicago blues scene, they're good but nowhere near as the ones that came to define or own the decades.” -
3. The Dave Clark Five
Image in Public Domain“With 60 years of hindsight I think the Dave Clark Five ended up being a pretty disposable British Invasion band. I would've understood if they were one of the first inductees, a lot of them aren't all that well remembered, but the DC5 didn't get inducted until 2005” -
4. The Foo Fighters

5. Percy Sledge
Courtesy of Gene Pugh“He had one song and got in decades before people like Pat Benatar, who basically ruled the ‘80s. I could easily name 20 other bands who deserved it much more than a one-hit wonder.” -
6. The Lovin’ Spoonful
Image in Public Domain“The band existed for four years, made three good songs, and the best thing any of its members produced afterward was the 'Welcome Back, Kotter' theme.” -
7. Sheryl Crow

8. Bon Jovi
Courtesy of Bon Jovi on YouTube“Bon Jovi made two songs that are the same and got famous, so imma say him.” -
9. Peter Frampton
Courtesy of Carl Lender“Frampton is a very weird case because he had a very high peak and never followed it up with anything. It would be like if Jeremy Lin was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame for Linsanity.” -
10. Chicago
Image in Public Domain“Chicago being in there is…a choice…like, there are people who are in the Hall on the basis of very little (Ritchie Valens), people whose claim to artistic greatness is highly questionable (Foreigner), people who should not be honored to the extent that they are (Eric Clapton being the Hall’s only three-time nominee is egregious), but nobody who is responsible for so much outright BAD, awful music as Chicago should really be in there, even if I don’t mind a ‘Saturday in the Park.’”
