The time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is a strange netherworld of time, and Twitter reflects that today. 

We’re all nursing a hangover to prepare for a possibly worse hangover on Wednesday. On top of that, almost everyone is still with their families, or just feeling too stuffed and bloated from the holidays. So, there’s not much else to do except come up with stupid comedy gold for tweets.

The big story is, of course, the passing of Jimmy Carter. We don’t know how that youthful sprite met his demise yet, but Twitter has its theories. Also, Elon was outed as having a burner account which he uses to reply to himself with compliments, which is… just deeply sad, and hilarious. Aside from those stories, our feeds are serving up some quality randoms and memes to take us through to the end of 2024.
