If you haven't already heard, Scottie Scheffler, the world's best golfer was arrested this morning on his way to Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky. 

The arrest happened a few hours before Scheffler was set to tee off at the PGA Championship. According to the police report, Scheffler put a police officer in the hospital after "striking him with his car and sending him to the ground." The last line in the police report reads as follows: “Detective Gillis’ uniform pants, valued at approximately $80, were damaged beyond repair.”

And upon hearing the news, the internet went into overdrive making memes, fans printed shirts with Scheffler's mugshot on them and everyone had a bit of fun laughing at cops responsible for arresting the best golfer in the world. 

So go check in on your buddies, it's a tough day for many conflicted golf fans.
