Baseball is America's pastime and has a long and storied history. Part of the sport's charm is looking back through its history books, and marveling at what people with names like Peek-A-Boo Veach and Buttercup Dickerson were able to do for the game. 

It's never enough to just be a feared; especially in the olden days. If you didn't come with a nickname, well then you didn't bring the heat. Nobody outside of the most dedicated baseball freaks will have ever heard of the name Cannonball Titcomb, and although he didn't have the most illustrious career, he had to be doing something right to earn the name "Cannonball."
