Toxic CEO Responds to Negative Glassdoor Review and Proves the Reviewer's Point
Glassdoor is a powerful tool that helps job seekers learn a little about the companies they're applying to, mostly based on reviews from former employees. And although Glassdoor has been accused of siding with employers, every now and then you can still gain a crucial bit of insight from a review.
Take this CEO for example, who decided to comment on a negative review of his company, proving the reviewer's claims of a negative work environment completely valid. "From the CEO down, leadership is extremely toxic," they wrote. "The CEO's publicity really polarizes the good work many talented people are doing here and it's a real shame."
It turns out that the CEO is Kyle Reyes, a boss influencer of sorts, who breaks up his posts on hard-nosed company culture and barbaric interview tactics to complain about border security and Second Amendment infringement. (That's putting it all very mildly.)
In response to the review, he stated that exposure to his company's media must have "triggered" the employee, before making a vague threat to sue them. "Slander is illegal and can cost you lots of money."
So thanks for once Glassdoor, and thanks Kyle for proving your former employee right. I think that's a company I want to stay away from.
