Cameras have been around for a long time and have taken millions of photos, but only a select few make it as timeless classics. The result is tons of incredible historical photos that get lost in time. Fortunately, thanks to the internet, we can find and share some of those photographs for you to look at for the first time. Check out 20 new history pics you've probably never seen before.

During World War II, women across the United States took care of themselves and their families while able-bodied men were away. One photo here shows a mother servicing her car while her son helps to the extent of his abilities. It is a snapshot of life for many families at that time.

Meanwhile in France in 1944, some of those American men can be seen looking at the Eiffel Tower while sitting in their Jeep, after the city had been liberated. The war wouldn't officially be over for another full calendar year, but retaking Paris was proof that it was only a matter of time before the Allies prevailed, and the American troops who had made it through could return home. See those pics and many more in this fresh collection of historical photos.
