22 HR Directors Share the Craziest Reason Why They Instantly Rejected a Candidate
The modern job market is tough right now, but it's important to remember that even if your interviews aren't going particularly well, they're going better than some other people's. 22 HR directors took to Ask Reddit and shared the craziest reason somebody was instantly rejected from a job. Some of the answers are wild, and as one person commented, "reading through so many of these and still confused as to why I cant land a clerical job."
Conducting a Zoom interview from the comfort of your own home can be equal parts comforting and intimidating, but some standard interview protocols still apply. But one man mentioned here didn't get that memo and joined his call for a leadership position totally shirtless. Another man "spent ten minutes chasing his dog around his apartment to introduce us to him," with "1/10 buttons on his shirt done up exposing his super hairy chest" and "drinking the most FULL glass of wine I've ever seen at like 3 in the afternoon."
So give yourself some credit. No matter how badly your interview went, it wasn't "find yourself on a Reddit thread" bad.
