That's right, at just over 3 trillion trees, there are more green woody giants in Earth's forests than there are stars in the night sky by about a factor of 30. Pretty staggering to think of.
Speaking of large numbers in nature, the biggest desert on Earth covers about 14.2 million square kilometers, but it might not be where you think. Deserts are normally swelteringly hot, but this one just happens to be the coldest place on Earth. That's right, the biggest desert in the world is actually Antarctica. No wonder it's such a wasteland.
