Twitter has been around since 2006, but people have been arguing online for much longer. 

@FodenPrime asked people to share their "most iconic interaction" on Twitter, and thousands of people replied with their favorite comebacks and takedowns.

Back in 2017, a few sexist guys – one with the handle @RationalMale – were commenting on a statue. Appearing to be an ancient Roman or Greek sculpture, the men remarked "This is what men of the West fight, sacrifice and die for." They then claimed that no woman could make a sculpture of such detail. But as one commenter quickly pointed out, "The sculptor is a Chinese woman you dork losers."
